Is Internet making world wider or smaller? Can Internet help us to open our minds or reinforce what we thought already? Are the Internet just making who we are instead of we are using Internet to search for more surprising information? What we can do if we are already in our own "filter Bubbles" but we don't even notice that? Or, how could we get out of these bubbles? When we are Google information online, what happen if I get the totally different information with my friends but actually we are looking for the same thing?
All of those questions had been raised in the articles. The technology is developing in a unbelievable speed in today's society. Can we really control the Internet? The answer is absolutely not.
We are the generation who can't survive without computer, we are socializing online more than just hang-out with friends. But, can we realize that, when we have more than thousand of friends on the Facebook, but we actually only talk to less than 50 people? Only less of them are close friends, but we are even more likely to talk to them? Are we living in our own cycle but we are pretend that we are popular and social? Being a socializing person is harder than just making friends online. It's just like to have a open mind than just have a smart mind.
My thinking of Internet has changed because of those articles and video, it's much harder to use the Internet than I thought. Socializing online is not just talking to friends, checking emails, watching ads and news that we are interested in. It's about something we are not interested in, we don't like, maybe we can find more surprising information among those news we never thought we'll look at.
The cause of those problems is we are lazy. Sometimes we are just having fun on the Internet without even thinking what we are doing. Therefore, we are unconsciously searching for the similar topics again and again, and ends up with staying in the little bubbles we are actually created by our self.
On the other hand, the other reason of these problems are the development of the Internet technology are much faster than the human being's brain. We can't catch up with it, therefore, we are just relaying on using it. But, are we really having the ability to control the Internet?

Obama Campaign's use of social networking tools
How Obama really did it? He won over his competitors by social networking tools. Obama, the first African-American president, how he became the president is actually a legend. There are many reasons why he won, but the most important aspect is how his group use the social networking to raise the money, to promote his speech and ideas, and so on. All of those aspects make more and more people to support Obama on facebook, twitter, my space.
We are living in a Internet basis society. Most of the young people cannot live without a computer or Internet. Internet became the most important tools for broadcasting, posting news, entertainment, even making friends. It's a much faster way for exchanging the information than the newspaper and television. Now, less and less people who actually read newspaper and watch TV, but more and more people were online, not only the young people but also many seniors are starting to use internet also.
Obama's Campaign ware of that fact, and they make a really good website called MyBO connected with Obama's official site. Those two sites are extremely good at rising money. There is a detail in the article compare his website to Hillary Clinton's. There are 48% of his fund are from the donation of less than $200, but Hillary Clinton only has 33%. On the last second page, the picture clearly shows more people online are supporting Obama. But some of the other Campaigns are not even noticing about that, and it's clearly showed online, they don't even care about the Facebook and MySpace. But those two important websites are dominated by the young people which probably represents the new idea and the future. Whoever can became the leader of those websites, must know all young people's thinking and what is the future should be like in their thoughts, because the future is actually belonging to the new generation.
"It's the economy, stupid!" This year, "It's the network, stupid!" In today's society, who can use the internet wisely, who can win over the world!!

The program video shows us a fact in today's society, the new generations are growing up with the computer. They are making friends online, playing games online, studying online, watching videos online and doing anything they want online. The kids are not reading any books or newspapers anymore, and even in the classroom, the computers are replacing books and blackboards.
Right now, the high school students or even the middle school students are having their personal accounts on Facebook, MySpace and so on. They are socializing online via those websites. They like to be friends with everybody but not their parents online and most of the kids like to keep "their secrets" away from their parents but sharing with "friends" online, even though some of the "friends" they don't even know who they are. In the video, Jessica found her new identity Autumn Edows on her space, because originally, she was a shy and awkward girl, but she wants to get more attention, therefore, she post many of her sexy pictures online. She became the one she wanted to be. But, the internet is sooooo public! There is no secret at all, finally her parents knew what she was doing online, and people started to think she is "slutty", she started to realize that was too over.
There are also may hidden dangerous online, like the children predator and the cyberbullying. Those dangerous, in my opinion, related to the kids want to be in the world outside of the parents can reach, which means the kids don't want their parents know what are they doing online. And the kids are always lack off the experience online, and they don't always notice the dangerous.
The other problem of growing up online is studying. Students are using many of the online studying tools like spark note, Wikipedia, to get the information for the assignments instead of actually reading the book. But it's actually a lazy and bad habit. It's maybe ok to do that in highschool, but once students get into the college, the studying materials gets harder and deeper, and required you to do researching by yourself, not only copy the ideas online, what you can do at that time?
The last point I want to talk about is parenting the internet generation. When kids are in the middle school and high school, they feel like their parents don't understand them at all but their friends. Therefore, they want to keep their own "secret" online but away from their parents. But, parents are always wondering what are they doing online? The reason they want to know is they care so much about their kids. But during this period, the best way is not stealing their secrets but talk to them, give them the right concepts and guidance, enough space and trust.
